Five Basic Components of the NTeQ Philosophy
  • The teacher is technologically competent and assumes the roles of designer, manager, and facilitator (Lowther, Bassoppo-Moyo, and Morrison, 1998)
  • The student actively engages in the learning process, assumes the role of researcher, and becomes technologically competent.
  • The computer is used as a tool as it is in the workplace, to enhance learning through the uses of real world data to solve problems.
  • The learning is student-centered, problem-based, and authentic, and technology is an integral component.
  • The environment incorporates multiple resources-rich activities.

NTeQ and the Teacher
  • Teacher uses the computer as a tool to learn new information
  • Teacher learnes the basic computer applications such as creating a test with work processing, spreadsheet, grade book, and etc.
  • Manage and facilitate a student-centered, multidimensional learning environment

  • Students are actively engaged in the leraning process
  • Students asseme the role of researchers
